Constellation Energy company sponsored a Volunteer Event to support the Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope (AAFH). Approximately 25 employees at the Cantera office located in Warrenville, Illinois gathered to assemble art kits on April 23, 2026.

Constellation purchased the art materials for 100 journal kits, provided the staff to support Alyssa’s foundation as part of a community outreach effort the company conducts periodically. We appreciate all the participants who assembled the Alyssa Starter Art Kits (SAKs) which will bring hope and joy to young patients at the medical facilities. The Alyssa Starter Art Kits (SAKs) were donated to Lurie Children’s at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, Ronald McDonald House both in Winfield, Illinois. and Edward Children's Hospital in Naperville, Illinois.

A special “Thank You” goes out to Constellation CAO-Michael Koehler for his sponsorship and the Volunteer Team Leader -Dannie Pickett for planning and organizing this volunteer event. Dannie has been involved with AAFH for the last 5 years and does a great job coordinating the onsite logistics of this volunteer event. Constellation has been a great corporate sponsor of our Foundation’s efforts and we are grateful for their ongoing support..

In addition, Tim Egan, a dedicated volunteer for over 8 years attended this event, gave the presentation on behalf of Alyssa’s foundation and was joined by Mary Snyder to deliver the Alyssa SAK donations to the hospital and RMH. Yoli Alvin, is a Senior Project Manager at Constellation’s IT Group and founder and President of the Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope (AAFH) organization for the past 10 years and joined the volunteer event in person and met the employee volunteers.

The volunteers bring their enthusiasm while donating their time to our cause. And we get a chance to tell Alyssa’s story and explain the work of the foundation. Alyssa’s legacy continues with each kit assembled, donated and handed to a young person looking for hope and creative expression while going through treatment for a life-threatening disease.
