A group of Constellation employees at the Baltimore Headquarters assembled 100 Alyssa Starter Art Kits (SAKs) for donations to local children’s hospital in the area. A total of 20 employees participated in putting together 100 Alyssa SAKs at 1310 Point Street, Baltimore, Maryland on April 28, 2026. This volunteer event was sponsored by Constellation’s POC-IT Interest Group leader Steve Irby-Director of Constellation’s Generation IT group. The President of AAFH, Yoli, is a Senior Project Manager at Constellation’s IT Group and founder and has been the President of the Alyssa’s foundation for the past 10 years.
Constellation purchased the art materials for 100 coloring book kits, provided the staff to support Alyssa’s foundation as part of a community outreach effort that the company conducts thoughout the year. We appreciate all the participants who assembled the Alyssa Starter Art Kits (SAKs) which will bring hope and joy to young patients at various medical facilities. The SAKs were donated to 3 local health facilities. Venu delivered the Alyssa SAK donations to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, University of Maryland Children’s Hospital and Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.
Special thanks go to Yoli’s colleague, Venu Chenerappa who led the AAFH volunteer event at the Baltimore Headquarters with support from Dannie Pickett from the Chicago Constellation Office. Constellation has been a corporate sponsor of our Foundation’s efforts and we are grateful for their ongoing support. In addition, Tim Egan, a dedicated volunteer attended the event via remote access and gave the presentation on behalf of Alyssa’s foundation.
We are truly grateful for the tremendous support we receive from Constellation and the generosity of Yoli’s co-workers in supporting the Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope. The impact that the volunteers’ efforts have on youth facing life-threatening illnesses is profound and immediate. The volunteers bring their enthusiasm while donating their time to our cause. We get a chance to tell Alyssa’s story and explain the work of the foundation. Alyssa’s legacy continues with each kit assembled, donated and handed to a young person looking for hope and creative expression while going through treatment for a life-threatening disease.
