Tim Egan, a dedicated and long-time volunteer of Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope (AAFH) went to Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL to fulfill a gift request for Janaat Alfaraheed on Monday, June 10, 2024. Janaat is a young teen being treated at Advocate and heard about Gift Recipient Program available to young patients going through their own medical treatment.
Janaat was accompanied by her mom and they were thrilled to receive the digital camera to pursue her interest in art and photography. Janaat plans to use the camera during her upcoming Make-A-Wish trip to Italy. Lori Mackey-Childlife Specialist and a longtime friend and supporter of AAFH shared our foundation brochure with Janaat and her family. The gift recipient program provides professional art materials and musical instruments to youth with life-threatening illnesses.
