Two young patients at Hospital Fray Antonio Alcalde in Guadalajara, Mexico received music headphones from the Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope. Jose, a 19-year-old, received his gift on July 21, 2020 and Luis, a 16-year-old received his on September 8, 2020. Jose is being treated for Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and Luis is being treated for testicular cancer.
Dra. Martha, AAFH board member, delivered both gifts to Jose and Luis. Both young patients were happy to receive their headphones for listening to music at home and the hospital. We are grateful to Dra. Martha for representing AAFH at the Hospital Fray Antonio Alcalde and for bringing smiles to the young patients she identifies for our gift giving program. These gifts are a small gesture on our part, but we hope they bring a bit of hope and joy into the lives of the young patients as they go through their treatments.
