Alyssa SAKs & Music Instruments Delivered to the Proton Center - December 2015

Delivery of Alyssa Starter Art Kits (SAKs) and Music Instruments by AAFH President, Yoli Alvin, Advisory Board member, Marianne Cirone, and AAFH Volunteer, Gwen Pastryk to the NW Medicine Chicago Proton Center in Warrenville, IL on Tuesday, December 15th.

This year, at least half of the Gift Recipients were teens and young adult patients being treated at the Proton Center.  Here are some photos of the young patients we met that are being treated at the Proton Center.  With the delivery of the SAKs and musical instruments, the Proton Center can now share Alyssa’s love of Music and Art with more teens and young adult patients.

In 2015, we have honored fourteen Gift Requests which include four Beats by Dr. Dre Headsets, four professional Art Packages, two electronic keyboards with headsets, two acoustic guitars, one Novation Launchpad pro electronic instrument and one other young adult will receive two Lollapalooza tickets (as soon as they go on sale in Spring 2016)!

Thank you to the NW Medicine Chicago Proton Center for giving us the opportunity to share the Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope with the young patients there!

If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart... I’ll always be with you.
