Rochelle a 10 year old girl, donated her birthday money to Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope because after reading about Alyssa's story, she wanted to give hope and bring joy to a young patient going through treatment.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2015 Rochelle's Mom, Roxanne, drove her to the RMH in Chicago to meet and present Ashley the professional art gift.
Ashley is the 8th gift recipient of Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope. The girls had fun drawing and painting using Ashley’s new art supplies. They also enjoyed hot chocolate donated by Gwen Pastryk, Organo Coffee independent distributor.
While the girls continued to draw, Yoli, Roxie and Gwen had time to share daughter stories with Ashley's Mom, Lisa. Gwen also prepared Organo coffee and chocolate for us!
We ended the evening by visiting Alyssa's memorial brick made in her honor on the Rooftop of the Ronald McDonald House and sitting on the bench for a moment of silent prayer for Alyssa.
It was a special evening for Ashley!
